Interviewing a Mentor
Steps to Creation
1. From the 3 careers you have researched, choose 1 of the careers and find a mentor in that field. The Off-site Campus Coordinator, your Academic Advisor, your teacher or family members may be off assistance in this task.
2. Develop a set of 5 important questions to ask your mentor about the career they are in to give you more specific information.
3. You will be creating a video of your interview that your peers will evaluate.
steps to follow:
1. Contact the Mentor
2. Explain your assignment and ask permission to record it. They will have to sign a release form in order to participate.
3. Arrange to have someone record your video.
4. Prepare a note-card with your questions on it to refer to.
5. Practice your interview with a friend or family member
6. Arrange a mutually convenient time
7. Interview your mentor
8. Upload your video to the teacher as per instructions.
9. One other student from the course will also be evaluating your interview.
